September Announcements

September is Senior Wellness Month. Please keep reading to see the special we are offering this month!!!

Growing older is a fact of life that we all must deal with. Most of us, especially if we're over 40, would like to grow older gracefully. Proper diet, vitamins, regular exercise and routine medical checkups are a basic part of our lives. But what about our pets??? Did you realize that for every one year of life, dogs and cats age seven years?

Geriatric medicine is just as important to your pet, as it is to you. At the age 6, your pet is really 42 years old. At that time in his or her life we need to start being concerned about early diagnosis or detection of internal problems that a physical examination will not detect. Without appropriate testing we would not be able to diagnose diabetes, liver or kidney disease, bladder infections, or other more serious problems like heart disease that can occur without obvious symptoms or signs. We care about your pet's health as much as you do, and we want your pet to live as long as possible without unnecessary suffering or illness. We also know that it is much less costly to detect problems early rather then wait and treat an illness that becomes more advanced later on.

From September 1st thru October 31st we are offering 50% OFF our Senior Wellness Exam (a savings of $24.75) WITH the purchase of Senior Wellness Blood Work. The blood work includes a CBC (Complete Blood Count), Blood Chemistry Profile, Thyroid Level, a Urinalysis and Urine Sediment Exam.
Please call our office at 480-998-2010 with any questions or to make an appointment.

September pet of the month winner!!

Hi, My name is: Rio
I am a: Domestic Shorthair
My master, Ann, named me that because: I was left by a dumpster at the Rio Salado Reservation Office where my mom worked.
I am 8 months old. That is 1.14 in dog/cat years!!!
SSH.......don't tell Dr. Remen but my favorite treat is: I don't have a favorite yet. I like everything.
Something funny that happened to me were the times: I was spayed and because I don't know how to stay calm, the doctor and techs had to keep putting a pressure bandage on my belly to try to keep it from swelling. Because of this bandage, I was jumping around like a rabbit.
I am so special because after my big sister Sheyal passed away, I made it my mission to keep my big brother, Sylvester, company.
My master(s) loves me so much that for my birthday, I got: I haven't had a birthday party yet.....but I am sure my mom is planning something BIG!!!
I am so spoiled that I even get to sleep upside down and all sprawled out in my cat condo.
